- Junior Nationals, Sheffield, March 2009 winning five golds, two silvers and a bronze medal
2008
- Selected to compete in the Danish Open Championships in March where Ryan won 3 Bronze Medals against all age groups.
- Selected to swim at the UK School Games where 1500 of the most talented athletes compete in a mini Olympic Games in preparation for London2012. Ryan won 2 Gold medals
- Welsh Nationals, Swansea, December 2008, winning three silver and one bronze medal
- Senior Nationals Sheffield, November 2008 winning three gold, two silver and three bronze medals
- Recognised by Tendring Coastal School Sport Partnership for my achievements
2007

Other Information
Ryan has mild Cerebral Palsy, a muscle weakness affecting the right-hand side of his body. Due to this Ryan is registered as a Disabled Swimmer. He was was selected by British Swimming to be part of their Elite Squad in December 2005 and have been competitively swimming since then. Ryan is now currently on the British Swimming World Class Development Programme, for the second year (one Squad below Paralympics GB Podium Team). He currently trains 12 hours a week and also go to the gym twice a week.
