Education: Barking Abbey Sixth Form college studying BTEC Diploma in Sports & Excercise Sciences and belongs  to  the Barking Abbey Basketball Academy

Competitions and Achievements: 

• February 2010, Francesca's club team - Haringey Angels, Won the SureShot National U18 Womens Cup last weekend, held in Nottingham.
• Represented England U16 Basketball in the European Championships,  Bulgaria.
• Came 1st at the Under 16 Basketball RAF Final Fours, Cosford
• Came 1st at the Under 16 Basketball Sureshot National Cup
• Awarded England U16 Player of the Year
• Currently part of the England U18 Squad training for the european championships in July which is being held in Israel.
• One of only six under 16 players in GB offered a place at Barking Abbey Basketball Academy
• Southend Swifts have qualified for the RAF Final Four competition which is place 2/3 May.

Team Essex Ambassadorial duties:

• Working wtih William de Ferrers School as part of the School Sports Partnerships to inspire young people
• Works with the younger students at the Barking Abbey Basketball Academy
• Journey to the Podium - working with artist Wei Ong

Other Information

Francesca trains approximately thirteen hours per week and combines this with her studies.  She also trains with the Southend Swifts for four hours per week, playing for the under 18s and Senior Women's team at weekends.

Francesca currently (2010) works with the England U18 Womens, training and working hard towards the European Championships in the summer of 2010.
