Essex potential Olympians and Paralympians

In Essex we are proud of our talented top tier athletes that have already had success at previous Olympic and Paralympic Games and also recognise those with potential to compete at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.  In order to celebrate and nurture this potential, each year Essex County Council supports 12 athletes through the The Team Essex Ambassador's Award scheme.  A scheme that provides meaningful grant aid to  top level athletes in Essex who have the recognised potential to compete in the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.  In return they become sporting ambassadors for the county, and will work with a School Sports Partnership within Essex.
