The Essex Carrying the Flame Secondary Cross Curricular Resources provide schools with London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games inspired resources and activities.
The inspiration provided by the London 2012 Olympic Games should bring relevance, focus and engagement to lessons through these resources and activities.
The resources and activities are designed to be flexible and can be adapted for use with small groups, classes or in whole school settings and relate to National Curriculum objectives.
The Essex Carrying the Flame also supports targets related to increasing the amount of time that students participate in high quality physical education and school sport and also in promoting healthy active lifestyles, and has been designed to complement the London 2012 Get Set Programme.
