Under this section you will find information about the local access before and during events. For the latest information please check the Hadleigh Newletters and latest news sections.
Most of the footpaths in the area including most of those in Hadleigh Country Park will remain open to pedestrians. The public footpath that runs over The Salvation Army farmland will be temporarily closed for periods in the run up to and during the events, as will sections of the footpath closest to the boundary of the Country Park. These paths will be closed for periods of time during July and August 2011 and July and August 2012.
During the event set up and removal phases it may be necessary to close the Hadleigh Country Park car park for small periods of time. Notice will be given in advance and Hadleigh Country Park paths will remain largely open.
During the events a Local Area Traffic Management Plan will be implemented in order to protect the surrounding streets from spectator parking and ensure minimum impacts on the wider network. Emergency access to all properties will be maintained at all times.
The Local Area Traffic Management will contain measures aimed at ensuring efficient event traffic movement within the local area for the event, and for maintaining access to resident and business addresses. Such measures may include signing, marshalling, temporary traffic signals, temporary parking restrictions and temporary access restrictions. These plans are currently being developed in more detail and more information will be available during May and June of 2011 for the plans for both the London 2012 and the 2011 Test events.
