About Hadleigh Farm

Hadleigh Farm played proud host to the excitement and drama of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games mountain biking events. The venue is located in the shadow of the 700 year old Hadleigh Castle and overlooks the Thames Estuary, providing a stunning backdrop for what was one of the most thrilling events of the 2012 Games.

The landscape and topography of the area is ideal for mountain biking, and is a mixture of grassland and shrub with an excellent variation in gradients. The course designers have made the most of the elevation developing what promises to be a relentless and gruelling ride for competitors and a real thrill for spectators.

The venue facilities hosted 20,000 visitors per day during the London 2012 Events with each spectator gaining an excellent view of the action in the open farmland setting.
