Hadleigh Farm

Hadleigh Farm is just 25 miles (40km) from the Olympic Park in Stratford was host venue for the London 2012 Olympic Mountain Biking events in August 2012.  The venue was chosen due its unique terrain; providing a technically challenging course for the world class competitors.

What next for Hadleigh Farm and the Country Park?

Plans have been approved to retain the course and deliver a legacy for after 2012 which makes the most of everything this stunning and largely undiscovered part of South Essex has to offer.  From 2013 works will begin to make the course suitable to open for public access.  Read more>>

Can I ride the course?

The Olympic Mountain Bike Course is not currently open for public access although experienced riders of a suitable standard who are interested in riding the course may get the chance to join guided rides before the adaptations are completed. Read more>>

Lee Valley White Water Centre

Lee Valley White Water Centre hosted the exciting canoe slalom events at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Two brand new, courses were built for this purpose, including the 5.5m high 300m long Olympic Standard Competition Course.  The venue is just 20 miles (30km) from the Olympic Park in Stratford and is now open for the public to enjoy.

Lee Valley White Water Centre is the only brand new 2012 venue which the public can use and enjoy before the Games. It is the best white water venue of its type anywhere in the world and will be welcoming thousands of visitors keen to try the adrenalin charged rapids both before and after the Games.

The Centre is perfect for rafting and canoeing for community groups, businesses, and champions in the making and ideal for fun days out, team building and party weekends.

60,000 spectators will visit the Centre over the course of the Games to watch 5 days of thrilling events and with British medal hopes high, home support is expected.
