Upstarts Healthy Lifestyle Project wins 5th London 2012 Inspire Mark for Essex

Essex wins its 5th London 2012 Inspire Mark for Upstarts - Building a Healthy Lifestyle Legacy from the 2012 Games.
The 2012 Legacy and Strategic Sport Team are supporting UpStarts, a year long, innovative project sponsored by Mid Essex Primary Care Trust, offering children and young people an opportunity to take part in an Olympic style, training experience.
Healthy Living Solutions CIC came up with the UpStarts idea during the Beijing Olympics. One of the Directors, Sue Bayles, wondered what it would be like if ordinary kids had the same opportunities as elite athletes, if they had the same chance to learn about nutrition, to take part in high quality sports, if they got the support from their schools and their families.
