Mud, Sweat and Gears – Eastern MTB XC Series 2013
Mud, Sweat and Gears (or MSG as it’s affectionately referred to) is the eastern regions premier mountain bike (MTB) race series. MSG is open for anyone wishing to get involved with MTB racing and we have had riders from as young as 6 to 60 from all walks of life taking part.
2013 was always going to be an interesting season to see if the Olympic affect and ‘Inspire a Generation’ would actually happen?! I can’t speak for other sports but I can certainly attest that for MTB in the east the Olympic affect is very strong! Especially in our under 12’s category where we have regularly been sold out with 70+ riders taking part in the 1.5hr coaching session followed by the 20 minute race. This race is always a massive highlight with everyone getting behind the riders with cheering and support!
