An event inspired by the London 2012 Games, delivered through Essex County Council's Essex Carrying the Flame framework.

Essex pupils inspired by the values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games showcased their talents at a festival of Music, Arts and Dance at Chelmsford Civic and Cramphorn theatres on Thursday 27 May.

Essex carrying the flame is a Learning and Development framework has awarded grants to Essex Schools to allow them to run projects that are inspired by London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic values.

Essex Carrying the Flame invited Essex boys and Girls clubs to the Wickford Centre to take part in an afternoon of Indoor Rowing.

Essex schools are encouraged to sign up to the London 2012 Get Set Programme.

A cross curricular pack distributed to all schools across Essex, Southend and Thurrock to use the London 2012 Games to inspire curriculum based learning.
