Would you consider taking part in the Gold Challenge which aims to get 100,000 people back into sport while raising money for good causes? It is a unique challenge endorsed by the British Olympic Association, Team GB and Sport England, encouraging people to try Olympic or Paralympic sports and raise funds for charity. The J’s Hospice is the only charity in Essex taking part in Gold Challenge to date and would welcome your support.

Teams of 5 people are formed (as few or many teams as suits you all) and between them each team must complete a minimum of just 5 of the 30 sports on offer within 12 months. The sports are on offer across the county and on the Gold Challenge website will help identify how, where and when to take part. The Gold Challenge website allows league tables to easily be set up, against others.  With so many sports to choose from there will be something to suit everyone.

To help with this the J's Hospice have arranged 10 different sports over ten months starting in September at the Great Baddow High School in Chelmsford Essex.

You can choose from any of the sports listed in Gold Challenge if the ones listed are not those you would like to have a go at.

In July 2012 J's Hospice are planning a big celebration event with all entrants taking part in a sports day with entertainment and other sports including track and field archery and more to try out.

Listed below are the sports  arranged in 3-hour sessions from 7pm to 10pm at Great Baddow High School in Chelmsford. *

J’s Day
On October 21st, will celebrate ‘J’s Day",  asking companies to join in celebrating ‘J’s Day’ by going ‘blue’ for the day. It could be dressing in blue, blue-iced cake sale, a blues music event…….there are many more ways you can help J's Hospice raise funds and have fun on J’s Day.

The J's Hospice would greatly appreciate a chance to tell you more about the Gold Challenge, J’s Day and our other challenge events and would be very happy to come and speak to you or to make a presentation to you or your staff.
