Walking your way to the Games

Local authorities in Essex have teamed up with the Essex Legacy Team at Essex County Council to bring you “Walking your way to the Games” - A series of walks for the public to take part in all over Essex.

Each local authority has organised a programme of walks of five colours all representing different ability levels. The challenge is to complete all five walks and win all five badges of a colour representing the walk level.

Walking your way to the Games has been recognised by the London 2012 Inspire Programme for representing one or more of the Olympic values: excellence, respect and friendship and Paralympic Values: courage, determination, inspiration and equality.
