Sparks Will Fly in Essex 2012 – a county-wide cultural celebration commissioned by Essex County Council and Chelmsford Borough Council, created by Walk the Plank, with support from the Arts Council of England, and part of the London 2012 Festival up to the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

Sparks will Fly…begins with the arrival of two Champions who travel around Essex during May and June, before they meet for the first time to play The Game, pitting their strength against each other as they conjure up wind, water and fire in a spectacular fiery showdown, at Hylands Park, Chelmsford on 6 July 2012 as part of the Olympic Torch Relay.
